Public invited to celebrate MLK Jr.’s legacy and honor ISK’s CEO, Jeff Patton
On Friday Jan. 12, the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed) will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and honor Jeff Patton, CEO of ISK.
WMed calls ISK “a local organization that continues the dream of MLK by building on the strengths and dreams of community members through the sharing of effective resources that support youth, families, and adults with mental illnesses, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.” Also featured will be the Kalamazoo Central High School Choir and poet Denise Miller.
This free event is open to the public and will take place from 12pm-2pm at the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus Auditorium, 300 Portage St., Kalamazoo. Lunch and parking will be provided. If you plan to attend, please RSVP here.
