Youth Psychiatric Services provides individualized assessment and treatment by a team of professionals.
This team has specialized training in treating mental illness and youth with serious emotional and cognitive disorders. The ultimate goal of Psychiatric Services is to achieve stabilization while working collaboratively with the youth’s primary care physician in order to transfer the youth back to them to provide the long-term ongoing care and support for the youth’s physical and mental health needs.
- Medication and monitoring (weekly, monthly, or as necessary) by a team of health care professionals. This service requires active participation by the family and youth in taking the medication as prescribed and keeping appointments.
- Assistance with accessing financial and other benefits to help you afford medicines or other treatments.
- Education and information on a broad variety of health and wellness issues.
- Coordination of your care with other people or providers (for example doctor, case manager, family members) with your permission.
