Youth Psychiatric Services provides individualized assessment and treatment by a team of professionals.

This team has specialized training in treating mental illness and youth with serious emotional and cognitive disorders. The ultimate goal of Psychiatric Services is to achieve stabilization while working collaboratively with the youth’s primary care physician in order to transfer the youth back to them to provide the long-term ongoing care and support for the youth’s physical and mental health needs.

Available Services:

  • Assessment/evaluation.
  • Medication and monitoring (weekly, monthly, or as necessary) by a team of health care professionals. This service requires active participation by the family and youth in taking the medication as prescribed and keeping appointments.
  • Assistance with accessing financial and other benefits to help you afford medicines or other treatments.
  • Education and information on a broad variety of health and wellness issues.
  • Coordination of your care with other people or providers (for example doctor, case manager, family members) with your permission.

How do I receive services?

The first step to receiving services is to contact our Access Center. The staff at the Access Center will do an initial screening to determine what services you qualify for and connect you to those services.

Cost for services

Fees are based upon your ability to pay or your health insurance coverage. While no one is denied services based on their financial situation, there may be a waiting list in place to receive non-Medicaid covered services.
