Mobile Crisis Response is a rapid response team for youth and adults experiencing a mental health and/or substance use crisis.

MCR is a comprehensive, community-based service providing immediate response 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout Kalamazoo County.

The MCR team is made up of caring clinicians and Patient Navigators who are skilled in crisis intervention, clinical assessment, and safety planning. They assist individuals with serious mental health issues and substance use disorders by developing crisis safety plans, addressing risks and behaviors, and coordinating services to manage crisis situations. Focusing on individual choice, MCR helps develop coping skills, connects individuals with resources, and builds support networks wherever a crisis occurs.

MCR provides follow-up services and works with individuals and families to ensure they have the support needed to manage mental health or substance use disorders long-term.
