ISK to Host Weekly Parenting and Teen Therapy Groups Starting Sept. 17 & 18
Parenting Through Change (Starts Sept. 17)
- WHAT: A group for parents of children ages 3-17 currently active through Integrated Services of Kalamazoo or a contracted provider.
- WHEN: Tuesdays from 5:15pm to 6:45pm, starting Sept. 17. Duration: 10 weeks.
- WHERE: ISK, 2030 Portage St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001
- ABOUT: Parenting through Change (PTC) is an evidence-based model that teaches positive parenting strategies to improve child cooperation and pro-social behaviors.

Teen Therapy Group (Starts Sept. 18)
- WHO: For youth 13 to 17 years old who are open to meeting new people and interested in learning new perspectives & skills.
- WHAT: Group therapy focusing on social skills and psychoeducation. (Psychoeducation is a proven therapeutic approach for clients and families that provides information and support for mental illness and its treatment. The goal is to increase understanding and reduce stress while working with mental health professionals for a better overall outcome.)
- WHEN: This 8-week group meets every Wednesday from 5:30-6:45 p.m. starting Sept. 18.
- WHERE: ISK, 2030 Portage St., Kalamazoo 49001.
