Navigate: Coordinated Specialty Care for Early Psychosis
Navigate is an evidence-based program for young people ages 15-30 who have experienced a recent onset of psychosis. The goal of the Navigate program is to provide early intervention to support young people in staying on course with their goals in spite of the onset of mental illness.
Staff in the program work together as a team to provide comprehensive services for the young person and their family. Services provided by the Navigate team include:
- Psychiatric assessment and medication management
- Individual therapy and family therapy
- Case management
- Peer support
- Supported education and employment services
SAMM Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment
The SAMM Team provides Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT), an evidence-based program that delivers recovery-oriented services by integrating substance use and mental health treatment for individuals with a co-occurring substance use disorder and mental illness. IDDT is an integrated approach and includes the following services:
- Individual and group therapy for co-occurring disorders
- Case management
- Peer support and recovery coaching
- Evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, and Relapse Prevention
Seeking Safety
Seeking Safety is an evidence-based treatment that focuses on developing coping skills to help people attain safety. This treatment was developed for individuals who have experienced trauma and/or have struggles with substance use. Treatment may be delivered in an individual or group setting and is present-focused rather than being focused on past experiences.
